Manicure Tips

Everyone of us is busy at making career.But life needs to get pampered.Here are some great tips to get manicure at home.Lets take look...



 The term manicure is actually derived from the Latin word manu meaning human and cura meaning care. Manicure is usually done to improve the appearance of the hand and to make the hand soft, attractive and well-groomed. Also, perfectly groomed fingernails make your hand look more practical.

Though it definitely feels good to get your manicure done by someone else but sometimes due to time constraints or any other reasons, it might not be possible to take the rounds for the treat. However, you can even do it yourself, provided, you have all the things needed right in your closet.  Following are the list of things that you will need for manicuring yourself at home and the method to manicure at home.

Things Required:

Polish Remover or Remover Wipes
Nail File
Cotton Pads (not cotton balls)
Bowl of Warm Water
Extra Fine Emery Board
Good Lighting
Cuticle Oil
Base Coat Polish
Color Polish
Top Coat

Methods for Manicure

1) The first step is to remove the old nail polish. Use the cotton to remove the nail color.

2) File your nails accordingly to your desired shape. However make sure notto file the nails when they are wet.

3) And then soak the hands in warm soapy water to soften the dry skin and the cuticles.

4) Apply a combination of soap and salt or sugar to exfoliate your hands. Or you can also prepare your scrub by adding some shampoo in warm water and soak your hands. Then take a lemon and some sugar to exfoliate.

5) Gently dry your hands and push back the cuticles of your nails. Apply a good amount of moisturizer.

6) Now you can apply the nail color if you wish to. If you do not want it, then make sure to apply a nail protector on your nails.

7) When you apply the nail color make sure that you do it in three strokes. One in the middle and two on the sides. Let it completely dry before you switch over to your next task.

When you choose the shape of your nails focus the shape of your fingers. If your fingers are long and thin or short and stubby, they look best with a squared-off oval shape. Oval shape is the best suited to all types of hands.
